SCAN Global Logistics moves to Port of Aalborg

Scan Global Logistics is growing faster than ever, and in December last year the logistic company opened the doors to their new office at Port of Aalborg. According to Kim Sønderby, Global Chief of Industrial Projects, Oil, Gas & Renewable Energy, is has been a long-waited wish to establish the company in northern Jutland. And when the right personalities with the wanted combination of competences and special knowledge finally were found that wish was fulfilled. The location has of course been an important parameter too, and on that matter Scan global Logistics felt especially welcome at Port of Aalborg.

– We are very happy to open our own office at Port of Aalborg, so we can provide even better service to our existing as well as future customers in North Denmark. The office is well maned and offers an entire spectrum of services from the more traditional to specialist and niche areas. Since the 1st of January this year, we also came in a position to deliver in terms of air freight with charters, consolidations and temperature sensitive and dangerous goods, Kim Sønderby expresses.

At the office Henrik Spelmann is Manager of air freight solutions, and he has Lasse Thomsen and Chrstina Bregendahl with him on the team. Finn Petersen, a known and local figure with more than 40 years of specialized experience regarding difficult and special carriage, crane assignments as well as barge solutions, becomes a part of the Aalborg office as well, and he will be accompanied by Kasper Laustsen, who like Finn Petersen comes from DHL. In addition, Kasper Waldemar Nielsen will also be a part of the office in Aalborg.

– Our DNA and can-and-will attitude is a part of the pack, no matter if it is a small and simple assignment or a big and complex project. The target is the same – to make sure our customers get the best solution, and at Scan Global Logistics we find new ways to make the costumer’s world a little less complicated, Kim Sønderby concludes.

Port of Aalborg is pleased about Scan Global Logistics’ approach that according to Commercial Manager Jeppe Faber will strengthen the port’s position as logistics hub further:

– It is our ambition to create the absolute best foundation for companies at the port. Therefore, it is very positive that we have succeeded in attracting another strong and international logistics company which will add value to the other companies at the port.
