Rail is the green transport of the future

With calls four days a week, your company has a direct link to the European rail network via Port of Aalborg. Via several terminals, we offer you tremendous flexibility and the possibility to handle goods to and from the railway 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.

We connect Scandinavia with the rest of Europe

Our location in the heart of North Jutland connects Port of Aalborg, Scandinavia and the rest of Europe and can become an easy, cost-effective link in your supply chain. We provide rail links to Europe through Fredericia and Maschen, as well as ship connections to Scandinavia and the North Atlantic.

Rail is for everything! Today, rail services a multitude of goods – from pizza trays to stone and steel – and the goods can be handled by crane, reach stacker, truck or conveyor belt.

In 2017, we started a collaboration with Port of Aalborg, which affords us easy access to the European rail network in Aalborg. Today, we continue to avail of the railway and we are very satisfied with the cooperation. Marius Pedersen is a company with a strong focus on CO2 and green accounts and the potential of rail transport to reduce some of the CO2 in the environment.

A sustainable option

With its more climate-friendly profile, rail can take an increasing volume of goods off the roads. Consequently, rail meets the EU’s ambitions to transition the transport of goods from road to rail and increase accessibility in Denmark.

At Port of Aalborg, we have also been experiencing constantly increasing demand for the carriage of goods by rail as an alternative to roads, etc.

At Fibertex Personal Care we have been working for many years on reducing the CO2 emissions from our production, and given that we use around 1000 tonnes of plastic granules each week, we are really pleased with the collaboration we have established with Port of Aalborg. This actually means that we have halved our CO2 footprint for the transport of raw materials.

DB Cargo Scandinavia servicerer importerende og eksporterende virksomheder i Nordjylland via deres europæiske hub hos Port of Aalborg. Det gør de ved hjælp af deres enkeltvogn setup med fire ugentlige anløb via Taulov og Maschen, hvor du kan booke transportløsninger helt ned til det, der svarer til en lastbil. You have the opportunity with us to rent various storage facilities and areas that are closely connected to the railway terminals. Consequently, the most efficient cargo handling can be ensured with a strong focus on handling costs.

Do you need customs warehousing?

We offer public customs warehousing in several locations at the Port of Aalborg, where transit cargo can be held and stored without payment of customs duties and other taxes.
