We wish to be a transparent and responsible company
Just one year after its establishment at the Port of Aalborg, Anker Christensen Eftf. is now expanding its activities in the area. Anker Christensen Eftf. and Port of Aalborg have entered into an agreement that more than doubles the haulage company’s site.
The need for disposal, sorting and recycling of construction waste is growing. Just ask Anker Christensen Eftf. which has managed waste management, soil treatment and concrete crushing at the East Port in Aalborg since 2022.
After a year with lots of activity, Anker Christensen Eftf. is now expanding its site with an additional 14,400 square meters.
– We are pleased with the agreement, which helps us future-proof our business. The area will help meet the high demand for handling construction waste such as soil, sand and concrete that can all be recycled elsewhere, says Per Nielsen, owner of Anker Christensen Eftf. He elaborates:
– With our location, we have a strategically good site for our type of business. From here, we are able to service customers in Aalborg and the surrounding area, while we also have great logistical conditions for our transportation. For example, in the future, we expect to import resources such as granite and crushed stone, which in principle can be shipped directly to Aalborg.
In addition to the location in Aalborg, Anker Christensen Eftf. also has branches in Hjørring, Frederikshavn and Randers. With the upcoming expansion, the company will now have a total of 25,000 square meters of available space at Port of Aalborg.
– Supporting the growth of local partners is a central part of our existence. Therefore, we are pleased that a relatively new player in the area is experiencing such good development that there is a need for expanding after a short time here. This confirms that we have a solid framework for handling and accommodating most activities – whether it’s waste management, wind turbine production or CO2 receiving facilities, says Senior Commercial Manager, Real Estate, at Port of Aalborg, Jeppe Faber.
Establishment of the new site is underway and is expected to be completed this summer.
