Verdo has inaugurated its new office and production facilities at the East Port in Aalborg. This strategic move brings together the energy group’s North Jutland activities and approximately 80 employees at a single location within the port area.
Development is moving fast forward at Aalborg’s East Port, where another major company is moving in. On Friday, Verdo officially opened the doors to its brand-new headquarters, which will house its subsidiary, Verdo Energy Systems A/S.
Employees, partners, and guests gathered to celebrate the completion of the new facilities, which span an impressive 13,000 square metres across both production and office space.
– By bringing together the knowledge and production capabilities of Verdo Energy Systems A/S under one roof at Port of Aalborg, we’re creating strong cohesion both internally and externally. We’re becoming part of the dynamic cross-industry development thriving at Port of Aalborg. This positions us as an important contributor to the ongoing focus on developing and producing technologies that support the green transition – something we are, of course, very proud to be a part of, says Ken Larsen, Divisional Director at Verdo Energy Systems A/S.
Specialising in the development and production of tailor-made energy solutions for large-scale energy plants, Verdo will now run its North Jutland operations from the new site in Aalborg.
Boosting Business Development at the East Port
Port of Aalborg also welcomes the official opening of Verdo’s new facilities – the latest addition to one of the region’s fastest-growing business districts.
– We’ve followed the construction with great anticipation and have been looking forward to Verdo moving into the area. It’s a big endorsement — both of the East Port and our overall business strategy – that a company like Verdo chooses to consolidate its operations here. Verdo contributes positively to the area’s development and is a great fit with their focus on innovative energy solutions and the green transition, says Kristian Thulesen Dahl, CEO of Port of Aalborg.
Since the establishment of the Ankeret business zone, Port of Aalborg has worked strategically to develop the area into a growth hub where collaboration, innovation, and sustainable solutions go hand in hand.
– We currently have several exciting projects underway at the port, and Verdo fits perfectly with the vision we have for the business park – a strong platform for growth, innovation, and green transition. That’s why we’re proud to support Verdo’s North Jutland operations and contribute to strengthening business development in Aalborg, Kristian Thulesen Dahl concludes.
