HMF Group A/S acquires new strategic location at the East Port

The decision to secure a new site stems from the recognition that the current location in Nørresundby is situated in an area earmarked for future urban development, subjecting the existing building to restrictions that compromise its viability as a long-term solution.

Mikkel Winther Andersen, CEO of HMF Group A/S, explains:

– We have procured a central and attractive location at the port of Aalborg, Denmark’s leading inland port, multimodal logistics hub and an expanding business park This not only positions us perfectly for our Aalborg operations but also aligns with our growth plan to future-proof HMF.

The municipality’s envisioned urban development plans for the current Nørresundby location impose limitations, disallowing expansion, change of use and the introduction of new activities. Coupled with the deteriorating condition of the building, the constraints render renovation financially unviable and unsustainable in the long run.

At Port of Aalborg the excitement is tangible.
